We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a software engineer.
We operate a research facility in Lorton, VA.
We currently are developing technologies in the following areas that need skilled engineers:
Automated environmental monitoring sensors and equipmentRobotic maintenance equipment for aircraft and ground support assetsTo help with this development work, we are looking for software engineers who have experience in the following areas:
Basic
Qualifications:
full lifecycle application developmentindependently designing, coding, and debugging applicationstransform abstract requirements to concrete implementationsoftware modeling (UML) and simulationreverse engineering open-source applicationssupport, maintain, and document software functionalityTo meet the needs of our current projects, we are looking for candidates with some of the following specific skills:
Project 1:
proficient in at least one high-level programming languageknowledgeable in C# and/or.
NET programming languagesfront end graphical user interface design(+) serial communication (USB, RS232)(+) digital image processing(+) path planning algorithmsProject 2:
proficient in C+
programming languageknowledgeable in Python programming languagelinux operating system application designmultiprocessing methods and shared memory management(+) raspberry pi applications(+) data transfer using TCP and/or USBIn addition to competitive pay, Figure Engineering also offers the following

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
