Overview Open & closing dates Opening and closing dates09/14/2020 to 09/22/2020 Service Competitive Pay scale & grade GS 15 Salary $142,701 to $170,800 per year Appointment type Permanent - Work schedule Full-Time Duties SummaryThis position is located in the Bureau of Administration, Office of Logistics Management, Office of Logistics Operations, Secure Logistics Division (A/LM/OPS/SL) and provides secure logistics supports Bureaus and offices in Washington, domestic field offices, and Post worldwide.
Additionally, the Division manages the funding, policies, and processes for secure logistics functions, including receipt and inspection and inventory management.
ResponsibilitiesManages, through subordinates supervisors, a combined federal and contractor workforce located in the Washington DC area and Frankfurt, Germany.
Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinate supervisors and employees, gives advice and counsel to senior management leaders, interviews and selects candidates for positions, and identifies development and training needs for leaders.
Directs, evaluates, plans, coordinates, and integrates the efforts of the Divisions material management and customer service operations to achieve effective logistics support for complex Department programs.
Ensures the development and implementation of integrated secure logistics support program plans, policies, and procedures, which encompass requirements for supplies, services and equipment.
Performs budgeting, forecasting, and funds control used to administer domestic logistics support.
Formulates and implements long-range plans, program objectives, and policy guidance for secure logistics operations.

Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with logistical operations, developing strategy deadlines and priorities.
Experience formulating and implementing plans, programs objectives and policy guidance for secure logistics operations.
Experience developing budget estimates and justifications for additional funding.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
In addition, applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities:
Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others;Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances;Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations without undue stress;Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view; andCapacity to see the job through.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
