This position will be located in either Falls Church, Springfield or Lorton, VA.   Put your years of experience into a future of excellence...the qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPD supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.   - Drive the technology vision (i.e Technology Roadmap) on the program by collaborating with the program staff, architecture team, and the direct staff with primary focus on Biometrics functions. - Management of direct reports, i.e. timesheet approval, performance management, career guidance and coaching, engagement activities - Provide technical project support at a senior level.   Duties and responsibilities include:   Management responsibilities: - Drive the implementation of the Technology Roadmap - Manage the Biometrics team and implementations - Conduct formal individual performance discussions with the staff twice a year as well as more frequent discussions on individual goals and career growth and development. - Drive and support the Community of Practice meetings / events focusing on Biometrics - Provide recruiting support (i.e Interview participation, provide hiring recommendations) - Engage development staff and create a collaborative work environment - Collaborate with other managers to organize inclusion activities   Technical Responsibilities: - Contribute technically using one or more of the following: Java / JEE / Enterprise Java solutions; Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, MyBatis, JSF, React, Angular, etc...), Oracle / PostgreSQL - Develop and consume web services (REST, JSON, etc..) for an operational/production environment - Utilize DevOps - CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc..), Test-Driven development (Junit / Selenium), Security (Ex: JWT, OAuth, etc), - Utilize an Agile framework such as Scrum and/or Kanban - Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers   All work will be performed on site at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.     Qualifications  Basic Qualifications: - Must have 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Engineering or related field, 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. - At least 5 years of Technical leadership experience including mentoring junior and mid-level developers - 5+ years development experience using one or more of: Java / JEE / Enterprise Java solutions; Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, MyBatis, JSF, React, Angular, etc...), Oracle / PostgreSQL - Experience with biometric sensors including fingerprint scanners and face detection toolsets. - 5+ years experience developing and consuming web services (REST, JSON, etc..) for an operational/production Environment Experience assessing applicability of biometric modalities such as gait, iris at a distance, touchless fingerprint, or live video face capture, facial recognition - Experience with DevOps - CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc..), Test-Driven development (Junit / Selenium), Security (Ex:JWT, OAuth, etc), - Experience designing and developing large and complex technical solutions is required. - Ability to communicate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues - Must be a team player, motivated, self-starter and a quick learner - Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines - Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance   Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with the Atlassian toolset, including JIRA and Confluence - Experience utilizing Jenkins or similar tools for CI/CD. - Active DHS CBP or Top Secret Clearance Requisition ID : 18022867

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
