Information Systems Security Officer
Job Description :
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support daily operations for high visibility cyber systems, projects and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be working at the customer site while embedded with an existing security team, supporting and interfacing with several customer organizations. In addition to the ISSO standard responsibilities, will be responsible for the identity and access management activities as well as some facilities security support in a fast paced, highly technical and expanding RHEL SE Linux MLS baseline that supports multiple classification levels. Duties include provisioning and system access integration though role based access rules and support access administration for the infrastructure. Assists in design, implementation and administration security for VPN access. Performs as an information security professional in the monitoring of security policies, procedures, and security authorization & accreditation (A&A) packages. Assesses and mitigates system security threats / risks.
Familiarity with applicable security regulations to include the provisions of ICD 503.
Familiarity with Linux OS
Familiarity with Splunk for security/audit monitoring is a plus
Additional scope will include policy interpretation, ongoing guidance and direction to onsite personnel on Information System Security issues, and participation in applicable Review Boards and Technical Exchange Meetings. Individual will interact with customer personnel on a regular basis regarding ongoing compliance and to coordinate system modifications.
Selected candidate will function as the primary security POC for the program, and will have oversight of all security functions and interactions, to include customer interface, as well as interaction with the greater Space Systems Security team for infrastructure support and tasking / technical reach back and surge support. This will include elements of Physical Security, Personnel Security, and Program Security. Individual will ensure that program security related issues are addressed, to include: vetting users (privileged and non), physical access lists, system monitoring, security training and awareness, and documentation maintenance.

Basic Qualifications
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with SSBI/Poly within the last 5 years.

years in IT Systems/Information Assurance experience.
LINUX admin experience (preferably SE LINUX or Multi-Level Security LINUX)
Desired skills
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
CISSP or Security
Certification or be able to attain within 6 months.
Experience with Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations.
Knowledge of Splunk and ACAS Security Center a plus.
Knowledge of the SSRDB and XACTA applications are desired.
Excellent communications skills, Policies, Publications and Regulations.
