Job Description:
POSITION
Summary:
Commercial Support-Perform cradle-to-grave contracting actions for multiple contracting officers in support of a wide range of customers. The work involves commercial acquisition and simplified acquisition methods including pre-solicitation, solicitation, award, administration, and closeout functions. Perform non-warranted contract specialist duties with functionality in the operation of Department of Defense (DoD) contracting specialist tools, including proficiency in the Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2) Contract Writing System, applying a solid foundational understanding of both Federal and DoD contracting policy, rules, methods, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist Contracting Officers with acquiring a variety of commercial commodities and services to include furniture, office equipment, IT hardware and software, storage equipment and supplies, advisory and assistance services, IT support services, professional studies, and labor support. Perform pre-award functions by analyzing all proposals, including cost/price proposals, assisting the contracting officer in conducting negotiations or preparing negotiation positions, and preparing contractual files and documents. Perform post-award functions by monitoring contractor's performance, preparing contract modifications, and preparing the contract file for closeout. Entering and retrieving contract data and information into the Standard Procurement System (SPS) via Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2).
EDUCATION &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in business related fields and eight years of operational/commercial pre-award and post-award experience using FAR Parts 12, 13, and 15. Proficient in SPS PD2. An active TS/SCI Security Clearance. DAWIA level II or FAC-C level II certified in contracting. Certification equivalency can be accepted. Applicants claiming equivalency need to demonstrate the basis of the equivalency by providing training certificates for required courses that meet the DAWIA or FAC-C level II certification in contracting requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face discussions. Travel to CONUS locations may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
