Seeking a candidate for our government client that will need to be extremely proficient in the technical stack detailed below and have proven experience being resourceful and work within a unit mixed of network/Server Side professionals and qualified to fulfil the role of the systems engineer and scripter. Must have excellent communications and writing skills, extracting requirements from the customer, working with the engineering team to capture and design documentation.
Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools Solve production problems and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation Improve database backups and test recoverability regularly Study the database needs of our applications and optimize them Write documentation and collaborate with technical peers online EMC storage administration and support Windows server 2008/20012 system administrator Windows 7/8 system administrator Router configuration and administration Firewall configuration and administration Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting Perl or similar Scripting experience
Required
Experience:
SQL server DBA, minimum 6 years of experience. Microsoft certification preferred but not required with adequate experience MySQL DBA, minimum 3 years of experience Experience working in a DHS environment to facilitate the maintenance of the appropriate security controls Experience utilizing common Scripting and reporting tools to develop repeatable data access tools Experience with the design and performance tuning of relational data stores Experience designing configuring, deploying and maintaining a windows domain environment. Minimum 6 years of experience Experience configuring deploying and maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environment Minimum 6 years of experience VMWare deployment, administration and support Experience configuring and maintaining deployed network hardware. CISCO certification preferred. 6 years of experience required.
