Job Description:
Monitors critical network elements and applications using various network monitoring systems in a 7X24X365 Network Operations Center (NOC)Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains telecommunications networks in a NOC environmentTests new and already installed hardware and softwareUses computerized network management systems to check for system alarms when parts of the network are not working properly and jeopardizing the level of communication services available to customersFollows procedures to validate, troubleshoot and escalate issuesMay work second and third shift work and overtime in the event of network outagesIt is required that the Network Specialist (Senior) has the following
Qualifications:
o Familiarity with various network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, and VoIP networkso Understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDPo Experience with SAFe Agile and DevSecOpso Possess a current Secret clearanceo Education and Experience Level:
High School Diploma with 12-18 years of experience; Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years; or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experienceIt is desired that the Network Specialist (Senior) has the following
Qualifications:
o An active TS/SCI security clearanceo Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIE, ITIL v3 Practitioner or ITIL v4 equivalent Foundations, and/or CISSPo IT Certifications such as Security +, CISSP, etco SAFe certifiedo ITIL v4 equivalent.
Recommended Skills Agile Methodology Border Gateway Protocol Certified Information Systems Security Professional Cisco Certified Network Professional Devsecops Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
