Operations Manager

Summary Operations Manager (OM) Lorton, VA The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for managing and providing daily supervision and leadership of all programs, PMO staff, projects, and Program Managers (PM).
The Operations Manager will provide management oversight of operations and will support Business Development (BD) efforts at large.
Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and management of company Program Managers and staff that mirror the company's adopted mission and core values.
Maintain oversight of monthly program financials to ensure profitability.
Execute programs and proposals within scope, cost, and schedule.
Maintain oversight over timecards and ensure DCAA guidelines are followed, and timecards are signed and approved promptly.
Provide timely, accurate, training reports, training, and deliverables.
Assist with the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Motivate and lead a high-performing team, attract recruits, and retain highly qualified staff.
Foster an ethical, success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Represent the company with its major customers and business partners.
Support Quality Management efforts, ensuring measurement and effectiveness of processes and supporting internal and external certification audits.
Directly responsible for the leadership and management of the company's operational portfolio and for providing first-line supervision of all PM and Task Leads within the company.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities by the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Interview, hire, and train employees, including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and rewarding and disciplining employees.
Ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience to include:
Government experience required Project management experience required Background check with ability to obtain TS clearance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and present well to customers.
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to secret classified information within one year.
Ability to multi-task in a high-stress, performance-based environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Must possess strong leadership and organization skills.
Must have a workspace free from distractions and be able to work well independently and with a group.
Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.
Must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
