The administrative assistant supports with the day-to-day operations of our Lorton Community Integration Center by performing administrative tasks as needed such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, preparing documents for meetings, and managing the calendar.

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

Maintain the front desk by answering the phone, processing faxes, and paging, greeting visitors, and processing mail.

Maintain various rosters, schedules, calendars, and participant filing.

Input participant time and attendance daily and/or as needed.

Process participants plans (typing, copying, distribution) and quarterly reports (copying and distribution).

Manage up-to-date inventory of supply items (janitorial and office) and order whenever needed.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with mass mailings.

Mail out annual survey and document results.

Provide support at other LTCIS sites whenever needed.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Certification(s )
Required:
High school diploma or General Educational Development.

Required:
Minimum two (2) years experience in an administrative position.

Preferred:
Associate degree
Must pass State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
(DBHDS) fingerprinting and criminal background check.

Must pass the State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) fingerprinting and criminal background check.

Must pass the ODD (Orientation to Developmental Disabilities) assessment and competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to relate well to people at all levels of an organization.

Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to become familiar with corporate specific?programs and software such as ZOOM and Microsoft Teams.

Ability to solve practical problems and?adapt to new information and guidance quickly.

Excellent verbal?and written?communication skills.

Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent customer service skills (phone and in person).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
