Medicaid Care Coordinator About US:
Dependable Healthcare Apex Partners LLC, a Non-Medical Homecare Agency is seeking a Medicaid Care Coordinator to support Medicaid Client business processes on full time basis.
The Agency provides tailored non-medical Homecare services to individuals with struggles brought about by injury, disease, sickness, age etc.
in their family homes.
These services include Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), household duties, and companionship.
We serve Fairfax, Prince William, Arlington, Falls Church, Manassas & Alexandria in Virginia
Responsibilities:
(a) Initiating and coordinating Medicaid onboarding process.
(b) Establishing Medicaid eligibility/ benefits and authorizations before intakes.
(c) Liaising with MCOs/insurance case managers for Medicaid client referrals and authorizations.
(d) Handling enquiries from potential participants and participants' family/caregiver and referral sources.
(e) Maintaining communications and documents about Medicaid MCOs/clients.
(f) Maintaining records relating to admissions, discharges, deaths, transfers, correspondence, etc.
for Medicaid clients administration.
Qualifications (a) Associate Degree (prefered).
(b) Written and verbal communication skills.
(c) Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Experience:
a) A minimum of 2 years State of Virginia Medicaid administrative experience.
b) Good Understanding of Virginia's Medicaid Respite Care, Personal Care, Commonwealth Coordinated Care (CCC) Plus Waiver program, Consumer-Directed and Agency-Directed model of service delivery.
c) Good understanding of DMAS, Medicaid, and Social Security processes.
d) Extensive knowledge of community resources available to seniors and their families.
e) Experience working with elderly and/or disabled populations.
Requirements (a) Ability to work well with others and in a team.
(b) Be receptive to feedback on their work.
(c) Ability to complete assignments by set deadlines.
